Another good day

Ethan had his chest tube out Monday. . . and there has been no fluid build up yet. I have been waiting for the bad news that the fluid is building and it has not come!!! They seem to have balanced his feeds well also. He has not been spitting up and vomitting as much. So the point in all this is that they are saying the "H" word again. The plan is Friday morning. As much as I want to be together again as a family, I would be lying if I didn't admit the thought of taking him home gives me serious anxiety! I am praying that faith will conquer my fear right now. I am also praying, of course, that no setbacks occur in the next 48 hours :)
Much love-
Heidi
PS: Ethan loves to hold his humidifier when he sleeps. Not quite as endearing as a blankie, but cute none the less!

Oh I will hope and pray that you guys can take him home! I totally undrestand about the anxiety, of course, though of having him home. He looks like he was sleeping so sweetly in that little picture.

There's a chance that my work may send me to Arizona in the next few weeks to do some property inspections. If they do, I'd love to meet up with you and see little Ethan.

He looks so sweet in that photo!

The best advice I ever got once I brought Braden home was to remember that they would NOT send him home unless they were sure you could take care of him. Just love him and watch him grow!

Oh, how amazing it will be to take him home on Friday and be all together as a family. I am sure it is a bit nerve-wrecking too but exciting at the same time! I love all the sweet photos of him, too cute!

He looks so great! I am glad things are progressing in the homeward direction. I am sure he and you will do amazing at home! I second the sentiments of Caryn, they won't send him until they know you guys will do great. Stay the Course! Love, Wendy

I also had serious anxiety bringing Kyson home after his first surgery. It was quite overwhelming but after many prayers and priesthood blessings I found the confidence I needed to take care of him. Just remember that Heavenly Father sent that precious boy to YOU and he has confidence in you so have confidence in yourself!

As always, sending prayers and positive thinking your way, Brianne

i HOPE you get to come "H". That will be so nice. You will continue to be in my prayers
He looks so cute! He is going to be sad when the tube is gone, it looks like he snuggles to it! Maybe you can still just have him keep it...kids keep blankets all their life, why not a huge plastic tub to sleep with??!! :) Just hope his wife understands!
